Special contribution rules apply to college students, vocational school students, adult education students, and “Wandergesellen” journeymen. We need to review your preconditions regularly—and we need your help to do so.
Vocational school students, master craftsman trainees, students in adult education programs, “Wandergesellen” journeymen, and students at foreign universities are eligible for discounted insurance.
To check your ongoing entitlement, we regularly need proof that you are attending school or pursuing a course of studies, since neither schools in Germany nor universities abroad participate in Germany’s registration system.
Depending on the type of apprenticeship, we require diverse forms of proof. From vocational school students, master craftsman program students, and students in adult education programs, we require a current school certificate.
Travelling “Wandergesellen” journeymen must regularly submit their logbook, and students at foreign universities must provide a current certificate of studies from their university abroad.
Please send us up-to-date proof within three weeks.
If your insurance status or the amount of your contributions changes, we will, of course, notify you promptly.
