Questions about consultations
BARMER is committed to offering flexible solutions and innovative forms of care.
Here you’ll find the answers to the most questions about our consultations.
In an emergency, the most important thing is to reach the appropriate emergency service within the shortest possible time. If you need an ambulance or the fire brigade, please call 112. You can reach the medical on-call service outside regular office hours by calling 116117.
The BARMER service hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will advise you quickly and comprehensively, even from abroad! Telephone number 0800 333 0060*. Find out more.
Are you looking for an English-speaking doctor? In our Barmer Arztnavi (German) you can search for English-speaking doctors throughout Germany under “Advanced Search” and “Foreign Language Skills”. You can also search for doctors by speciality. And even better: Would you also like to know how the experiences of other patients have been? The BARMER Doctor Navigator offers both – a doctor search and doctor ratings in one.
With the BARMER waiting time management tool we support you in arranging your doctor’s appointments. If the waiting times for an appointment with a specialist are several weeks or if you generally need an appointment with a specialist urgently, you can take advantage of this service. BARMER uses regional networks to arrange an earlier doctor’s appointment for you. Please contact us for this service on the English hotline 0800 333 00 60 or visit us at one of our Offices.
