Accessibility statement

reading time less than 2 minutes

Our website should be accessible to as many users as possible. The accessibility statement gives information on the current status of our website. This information is about digital accessibility.

The statement accessibility applies to the website www.barmer.de of the Barmer Ersatzkasse (as at: September 2020).

As a public sector body within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we make every effort to make our websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the provisions of the German Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (BGG) and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) on implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Status of compliance with requirements

Accessibility requirements are stated from §§ 3 (1) to (4) and (4) of BITV 2.0, which was issued on the basis of § 12d BGG.

Accessibility to the Barmer website at www.barmer.de is not yet completely barrier-free. We will continue to review and, of course, optimise our internet offerings to our users. We ask for your understanding that not all pages have the optimal accessibility yet.

Reporting barriers to accessibility

Do you want to inform us about existing barriers to accessibility? Do you want information on getting accessibility? Please use the "Report barrier" form.

Arbitration procedure

If no satisfactory solution can be found even after you have reported the barrier as above, you can contact the arbitration service in accordance with § 16 BGG. The BGG arbitration service has the task of assisting out-of-court dispute resolution in conflicts where people with disabilities experience barriers to accessibility to public sector bodies. The arbitration procedure is free of charge. A legal advisor is unnecessary. For more information on the arbitration procedure and the options for submitting a request, go to: www.schlichtungsstelle-bgg.de

You can contact the BGG arbitration service at: info@schlichtungsstelle-bgg.de.
